Who is Mbimu's Kloset?

At Mbimus kloset, we believe fashion is more than clothing—it is a statement of identity, confidence, and purpose. Our brand was created to give people more than just outfits, but pieces that tell a story, inspire boldness, and celebrate individuality.

We are not just a clothing line. We are a movement—a community of dreamers, doers, and believers who choose authenticity over trends and confidence over conformity. Every collection we release is designed with creativity, originality, and timeless appeal, because we know true style never fades

About The Founder

Mbimu's Kloset

When I was a small girl, I badly desired to wear new clothes. I would see other children dressed beautifully and I longed for that feeling so deeply. I actually don’t have a memory of my mother buying me new clothes not because she didn’t want to, but because she couldn’t afford to. Every coin went to food and survival.
Her strength kept us alive. My dream kept me hopeful.
That is where fashion first called my name — right there in that longing.
Years later, I walked into Nairobi town with one goal: to join a fashion and design school. I tried Evelyn School of Design, Ashley’s, and Vera Beauty College… but the fees and extra costs were more than we could handle. So I rolled up my sleeves and started selling thrift clothes from Gikomba and Eastleigh to support myself and to keep the dream alive.
On one of those days in town, I came across Kenya Institute of Management (KIM). The fees were within my budget, so I enrolled in Business Management, majoring in Supply Chain.

The Journey Began

I didn’t know it then, but that was the beginning of my business journey. I studied, got a job, and even had to close my small clothing business because of work demands. But purpose is persistent it follows you.

While still employed, I started @smarthubgroceries and later took a leap of faith to run it full-time. But every day, fashion kept tapping my shoulder… reminding me of that little girl with big dreams.

This year, I finally answered that call.

  • I registered a company.
  • I opened business accounts.
  • I found production partners and mentors who believe in this vision.

And today, I get to introduce a dream that refused to die:

Mbimus Kloset named after my daughter, Mumbi. A tribute to the past, a gift to the present, and a legacy for the future. From Gikomba stalls to building my own clothing brand… this is truly a dream come true.

Welcome to Mbimus Kloset . Where dreams are worn boldly.
